Erstmals Schaffnersitze in den neuen Obussen auf der Linie F mit vorgesetztem Zahltischerl (ganz rechts).

A conductor's station is provided for the first time in the new trolleybuses used on the F line (far right). A small ticket counter can be seen in front of the conductor's seat.

1.8.1957

Eröffnungsfahrt auf der Zweigstrecke Obuslinie A von Minnesheimstraße nach Langwied. Die Fahrleitung ist einspurig. Der Fahrer muß stadteinwärts auf »Rückwärts« umschalten um vorwärtszukommen.

The inaugural trip toward Langwied over the bi-directional "A" trolleybus line on Minnesheimstrasse. There is only a single pair of overhead wires, so the driver has to switch to "reverse" when driving toward town.

Jänner 1959

Noch fährt der Obus in beiden Richtungen durch die Griesgasse. Haltestelle »Stadtmitte« an der Südseite des »Mississippi-Dampfers«, in dem ab Dezember 1954 Zeitkartenbüro und Fahrdienstleitung der Verkehrsbetriebe untergebracht sind.

A trolleybus is seen running under the bidirectional wire on Griesgasse. The "City Center" stop is located on the southside of the "Mississippi Steamboat". The transit system's operations centre and the season ticket sales office were located here in December 1954.

13.8.1959

Katastrophenhochwasser. Weite Teile des Stadtgebiets waren überflutet, die Zentralgarage Alpenstraße ein See, die Montagegruben abgesoffen.

Disasterously high water. A large part of the city was flooded. The Alpenstrasse garage was a lake, with the inspection pits inundated.
