UNGER

The oldest list of names of the inhabitants of Wallern comes from the year 1589. A list from this time shows that in Wallern lived 23 feudal farmers. Four of these farmers were named UNGER.

In the old protestant - church - books from the years 1652-1660 are also some families named UNGER.

The village in the year 1700 didn't have the same location as today, so it isn't possible to give the exact house where they have lived in the past.

In the list "Urbarialliste" from the year 1767 you can find 12 families with the name UNGER. Six of them were the exclusive owner of their houses. Fife of them had only the half house - that means, two families were living in the same house. One family - the very poor one - was called "Söllner".

Unger were living 1767 in the following houses:
1 - 12 - 13 - 14 - 16 - 27 - 29 - 53 - 54 - 64 - 74 - 90
Twelve of these families are still living in Wallern. These are the descendants of the houses 12, 14 and 74.
