THE SPITZ: The history of spitzes reaches back to the stoneage, where "Canis Familaris Pa-
lustris Rütimeyer" were breeded by our early ancestors. The "Torfspitz" is the ancestor of
many european domestic dogs, nordic shepherd- and sledgedogs. Spitzes impresses by their
very beautiful coat of fur, and the bushy haired tail, weared bold above its back. The pointed,
triangular ears and the dark eyes look sooo great. Spitzes are always alert, and devoted out-
standingly to their owner. They are clever, and easy to educate. Robustness and durability are
part of their qualities. Their mistrust against strangers, and the absence of chasing behaviour
make them ideal watchdogs.
THE JAPANESE SPITZ: is breeded in Austria since 1986 with best results. It is assumed, that
the Japanese Spitz, derived from the white German Großspitz, came to Japan along Siberia and
north-east-China. The Japanese Kennel Club prepared an international standard for this breed
in 1948. The Japanese Spitz makes a delightful pet for his many positive attributes. He is an
alert, intelligent, lively, happy, medium sized dog, who is always happy to be with people
children of most ages, and other animals too.
