Beginning of 2006 Werner R. Gawlik set up the theater production company Dine & Crime.  Dine & Crime is producing and performing high quality thrilling murder mystery dinners which are playing at exceptional and excellent locations, such as castles, palaces, monasteries and other exclusive locations.  The theater plays are a combination of a four courses dinner framed by an exciting and turbulent story.  One murder is guaranteed in any case.  Professional actors, well-known from film, TV, theater and musicals are a guarantee for a first class production.  Werner R. Gawlik is producing these murder mystery dinners.  He also wrote the books for the "Sakraldinner" trilogy and for "Toedliche Familienbande" he is directing the overall plays.

From July 2003 until June 2006 Werner R. Gawlik had been Managing Director of the German and Austrian operations of ADP Dealer Services headquartered in Wülfrath, near Düsseldorf.  He was also represented at the European Executive Committee in BrusselsADP is a US based outsourcing leader in computing services.  With approximately $8 billion in revenues and 550,000 clients, ADP Dealer Services is providing IT products and services to the automotive dealer industry and is supporting over 19,500 clients worldwide.

Before joining ADP, Werner R. Gawlik was member of the Executive Board of Directors of Dimension Data Germany. He was holding the responsibility as the Director Sales, Marketing, and Solutions Development.  Dimension Data is a global integration and connectivity services group operating in over 30 countries worldwide.  In 2002 Dimension Data achieved a total turnover of 2.5 billion US$ with almost 13,000 employees worldwide.

From May to December 2001 Werner R. Gawlik was Managing Director and CEO of Deutsche Landtel GmbH in Potsdam, a pan-European telecommunications company with an American background.  Landtel provided customers direct wireless access to broadband communications services, such as voice, data, video services and faster Internet access.  The so-called wireless local loop is a very cost effective alternative for the telecommunications access lines to company premises.

From 1999 to 2001, Werner R. Gawlik held the Managing Director position of the world’s largest telecommunications data carrier Equant Network Services in Eschborn/Frankfurt (now Orange FT), where he led Equant's operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.  With 150 employees under his authority, he was responsible for orders and revenue in the magnitude of several hundred million US$ per year, cooperation with the other European offices, the European head office in London and the headquarters in Atlanta.  Mr. Gawlik launched Equant's worldwide voice initiative, and was the official representative for Central & Eastern Europe.  During his tenure he closed multi‑million dollar deals with large banks, corporate clients and global transportation companies. 

From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Gawlik was the Managing Director of the second largest American telecommunications carrier MCI in Frankfurt/Germany (now Verizon Business).  At MCI, he was directly responsible for implementing MCI's business plans in Germany and Austria, relations with German and Austrian telecommunications administrations, as well as the deregulation office.  Mr. Gawlik was the official executive representative for MCI in Germany and Austria, and was charged with supporting MCI's European Management in the US.  In addition, from 1998 to 1999 Mr. Gawlik was also responsible for MCI Worldcom's bilateral telecommunications business in Central and Eastern Europe.  He led MCI Worldcom during the deregulation phase of telecommunications and he established the first transatlantic bilateral carrier relationship with second tier carriers in Germany.

Prior to assuming the Managing Director position, from 1993 to 1995, Mr. Gawlik held the Senior Global Account Manager position within MCI, where he was the Key Account Manager for global corporate accounts.  In addition he was the Deputy Sales Manager for Germany and Austria, and the Manager of the south German sales office of MCI.

From 1985 to 1993, Mr. Gawlik held various senior management positions at Satellite Operational Services GmbH (now Telespazio Deutschland GmbH), including Marketing Director, Department Head Multimedia Applications and Department Head Satellite Operations for satellite projects at the German Space Operations Center (GSOC) at Oberpfaffenhofen, such as DFS-Kopernikus, Eutelsat, and TV-Sat.

From 1979 to 1982, he was Export Sales Engineer for AEG-TELEFUNKEN's telecommunications cable systems in Backnang (now Ericsson) where he was mainly involved in projects for Middle East and Africa.  From 1982 to 1985 Mr. Gawlik was Product Manager for ANT's (formerly AEG‑TELEFUNKEN, now Ericsson) aerospace division in Backnang, responsible for the telecommunications equipment for satellites such as TV-Sat, TDF, and Olympus.

In 1979, Mr. Gawlik received his Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) in Electrical Engineering from Fachhochschule Würzburg/Schweinfurt.

Werner R. Gawlik has two children and lives with his partner in Alzenau (near Frankfurt).  His hobbies include gym sports, mountain hiking, ham radio (DJ3CL), digital photography, motor cycling, and ballroom dancing.
